What A Perfect Landing Page Should Look Like
Landing pages (often called “lead capture pages) are one of the most important parts of an effective lead generation strategy.
Unfortunately, many companies don’t fully utilize them and focus completely on optimising their home page. While this is important, a good landing page often has higher conversion rates than a typical home page.
That’s why we’re giving you our four tips for making landing pages that actually convert.
Tips For Making a Good Landing Page
1) Use a clean, minimalist design.
White space is important here.
Not only is it appealing to the eye, but it doesn’t distract the reader. This focus is huge for effective conversion rates of your landing pages.
Check out these examples for some inspiration.
2) Give your user limited navigation.
This goes back to point #1 but it’s important enough to be listed by itself.
Good landing pages should really only have two options: you take the action or you exit.
You should also ask for as little information as possible. This increases conversions and raises the odds that your landing page is successful.
Less is more.
3) Keep it short.
The modern online consumer doesn’t have time to read through a long landing page. Tell them what they get when they sign up and leave it at that.
You should be able to read your entire landing page in under ten seconds.
Preferably even less.
4) Provide a clear and valuable offer.
A good landing page is only as good as your offer. This should include not only a great headline, but a convincing call to action.
What are you offering? How will the reader benefit from buying or signing up? What’s in it for them?
Keep these questions in mind in anything that you write.
